GODDO - Quicksand

GODDO was a Canadian rock band formed in Scarborough, Ontario in 1975. GODDO had mixed major label success from the mid-1970s to the early 1980s. After reforming in 1989, they revived their career with several new studio and 'best of' packages. GODDO was signed to Bullseye Records of Canada. GODDO disbanded after their last show on December 15 2018 at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto. The GODDO Band: Greg Godovitz - Doug Inglis - Gino Scarpelli - Marty Morin

FLUDD - Smile On

Fludd had its roots in a band called The Pretty Ones formed by Ed Pilling & Greg Godovitz.

The band was briefly part of Toronto's Yorkville scene in the 1960s but broke up before achieving much commercial success.  Pilling and his brother Brian then moved to Birmingham, England, where they formed a band called Wages of Sin & spent some time touring as a backup for Cat Stevens in 1970 but returned to Toronto by the end of that year.  Inspired by the then emerging psychedelic blues rock sound of British acts such as Small Faces, they then reunited with Godovitz & recruited drummer John Andersen & guitarist Mick Walsh to create Fludd.

 Written by B.B. Gabor/Paul Armstrong

I put this video together in memory of Gabor Hegedus aka B. B. Gabor 1948 - January 17th 1990.

Gabor fled with his parents to England in 1956

at the time of the Hungarian Revolution.

In a 1980 interview by Paul McGrath of

The Globe and Mail, the family was said to

have made their exit just

"one step ahead of the Russian tanks".
